Choose PSCraft when
- you'd like a workspace with no ads and no upsell;
- open-source code matters to you or to your organisation;
- you work on a desktop with large, layer-heavy PSDs and want GPU rendering;
- you also want a native desktop build of the same editor.
Choose Photopea when
- the file is something other than a PSD, such as Sketch, XD or XCF;
- you're on a phone or tablet;
- the design leans on many different fonts;
- you need a tool with a long track record on awkward files.
Either will do when
You need to open a PSD, change some text or a colour, and export a PNG. For that everyday case the two are interchangeable, and a file saved in one opens in the other. Try PSCraft with your own file and judge by the result.
